Used 911 Buying Tips/Caveats
Hi All-
I'm a old 928-S4 guy myself, but my good friend is seriously considering purchasing a 2000 Porsche 911 with 22K miles on it. The asking price is $40K.
He doesn't know these cars well and is considering purchasing it from a golfing buddy. Cosmetically, it looks great and he will have it inspected by a Porsche mechanic. I'm not sure how many maintenance records are available on it, etc. I told him I'd run it by the Rennlist 911 forum.
My question to the list is as follows:
Are there any major problems/issues with this particular year, things to look for etc that a routine inspection may not pick up?
Thanks in advance-

As with most cars they have issues for sure. You should post it on the 996 forum so guys who own these cars can respond. For sure best protection is pre purchase inspection by a pro.
