Default '84-'89 steering wheel question

I am 6'2'' and when I adjust the seat so that my legs are angled properly and comfortably with respect to the car's pedals the steering wheel is pretty far away. I feel that I have to reach for it.

Anyone know if the wheel be modified so that it is a bit (a few inches) closer to the driver?

On 3.2 Carrera's there was an option for an extended wheel, it basically just pushed it out a couple of inches, I have it on my 87 Turbo Look, I am sure you can find one of the hub extenders that is used to accomplish this, or if you go to a 930 steering wheel, like from AJ USA, they offer an extension kit that might do the trick, I am 6 4" and I have the same issue.

Thanks and nice cars. Anyone know of a specific extension/spacer kit that would work for a MOMO wheel?

Try this:
Momo Hubs & Extender

FYI - I just installed the 930S wheel. It was purchased from a store on eBay it was a little more than the AJ/USA wheel but the standard hub and offset extender is included.

Good luck
Andrew
