Default Fuchs center caps...need some help.

Ok, I got some beautiful polished Fuchs 7 and 9 inch wheels for my 88 Targa, and promptly lost one of the center caps on my first "spirited" drive out in the country. So first, I needed a replacement and went to ebay, where I found a nice set...do I need the collar type or three prong type? ( the three prong is for the early wheels, correct?) Second, any suggestions, tips, or pearls on how to keep them on?

Mark--
Collar or ring type. The 3-prong caps were used up through 73 and are not interchangeable.

As to how to keep them on -- the center caps are held in place by friction. There are 3 'nubs' protruding from the side of ring. You can use a nail punch to gently enlarge them to increase the friction. It won't take much to make them quite tight.
