Trying to determine red color on an '84 Carrera

Well, it looks like I've bought my first Porsche! I've come to terms on a 1984 Targa, subject to it getting a PPI which meets my approval.
The car is a red color, but not Guards Red. It almost looks like a "light" burgundy. According to what I see, it would appear that there was a Ruby Red Metallic that year. The paint is original and just slightly faded, so it does not look metallic but will come back with a little elbow grease, good enought 'til a paint job next year.
I have 2 questions:
1. Where would the paint code on the car be located, assuming it is?
2. Does anyone have a photo of a 911 painted Ruby Red Metallic?

Ed,
Congratulations on your "new" Porsche. You have terrific taste because I think the 1984 Carrera Targa is the best Porsche ever built.
The paint code for your car is in two places. 1) Look on the first page of your red Maintenance/Warranty Manual and the paint code is is on a sticker on that first page, or 2) look for a sticker affixed to the underside of the front hood...the paint code is on that sticker. Give us the paint code and we can decode it for you.
Hope all turns out well on your PPI.
Regards, Bruce

Ed, Congrats on the new car. According to Paintscratch.com, there are 2 reds besides guards red for 84. See below.
