Default Replacing chin spoiler

If the car alrady has a chin spoiler on it do I need to get new hardware to mount a replacement or is the old hardware reusable?

Also, anybody know if there is a significant difference between the OE and the aftermarket part - Pelican has them both?

I would imagine the hardware is resusable if it is the same style of chin spoiler. You should ask Ulrich has he has just finished this project. Why are you replacing it ? not sure about the parts option but again Ulrich would be a good guy to ask.

It would be better to ask it here so we can all benefit from the answers!

I'm replacing it because the one on the car (which I am just about to buy) us torn up. I have heard that these are a pain the a** to install so I wasn't sure if the hardware was reusable or some sort of one time fit piece.

Iceman is right, if it's the OEM spoiler the hardware should be reusable.

The best way is to remove the lower valance completely. I did it on my 78Sc without removing it, by taking off the bar protecting the front a/c condenser to gain more room for installing the hardware. It is a pain, as you said.
