Post engine won't start

it all started with a simple tune up... i recently decided it was time to do a tune up, and got all the necessary parts, at first i couldnt get the plug socket to seat on the plugs... as it turned out 3 of the head stud nuts had come loose and fallen on top of the plugs, so i pulled the valve covers, re-installed and torqued the nuts, then i adjusted the valves, finally got everything back together, and it won't start, i have spark, and fuel... i know this because after cranking for a while, i noticed fuel dripping out of the exhaust manifold... PLEASE HELP

Whe you say tune up , what all did you do ? How do you know you have spark ? You say you found head stud nuts laying next some of your spark plugs , from what I've read and heard this could be an indication of pulled head studs but I'm no authority on this . You might want to have that checked out by a good wrench .

well, new plugs, wires, cap, installed jacobs ignition, adjusted the valves, reinstalled, and re-torqued the head stud nuts, fuel filter, oil change, and tranny fluid change.
i finally got it running, and it runs good, but in addition to the jacobs ignition, i still have to have my oem cdi box wired in.

I'd keep an eye on the head stud nut torque, all of them.. your case threads may be pulling.....Ron
