hi all, I will be getting new paint on my 87 911 its presently guards red, I wanted a more vivid brighter red color, my color seems like it has a touch of orange, is there a newer Porsche red that stands out as a bright red? or any other red colors, thanks, Johnny O

I think theiceman meant to say check the Glasurit website. They do paint the other does glass

I like Peru red....it isnt bright...but it is rarely seen....also like BMW Imola red (used on M series cars)....there are TONS of reds available....there is a Toyota red called Super red that has a lot of blue to it instead of red....just find the hue you like and go with it....any paint manufacturer can create the color....its all a matter of getting the mixing formula....most auto paint stores can do that without a problem....

Wine Red is the color of my 81 SC. It is not bright, but it is metallic. Sort of a metallic burgandy. Definitely no orange hue. Reminds me of the OU Sooners red (the football team I liked as a kid until I went to college at the U of Texas - their arch rivals).
