I have an old 1975 911 targa. I recently went about cleaning things out from the previous owner, when I discovered this plaque inside the glove box, and it was a little tarnished. I decided to polish it, and what I found out was it said, "Silver Anniversary Edition #268" Then it had a signature on it.
I have been doing some research online and have only found that there were only 1500 of the cars made and only (If I can remember correctly) said there was something like only 270 or so imported to the US.
I'm wondering if anyone has any idea on what the "Silver Anniversary Edition" is?
Any enlightenment I can get is great!
Thanks,
-Nick

The upholstery had silver and navy houndstooth tweed fabric inlays; silver metallic paint, and the plaque you mentioned on the passenger side dash with Ferry Porsche's signature (see this link: http://marque.mystarband.net/porsche.htm)
