Question Power Seat Wiring

Hi,

Just purchased 4 way electric heated seats for my 80SC.

Can anyone please provide a description of how to wire these up.

Under the seat there is a female plug which I assume was to connect to a male plug which would have been ther on the original later model car these came from. Your advice and experience is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Jim
Pretty simple. All I did was find some suitable spade connectors to fit the seat female sockets (or get the plugs from a breakers) then I brought a 12v supply from the fusebox under the front hood, down through the dash & along the centre console under the carpet.
This then split to the two + terminals on the seats & the two - terminals can be brought together in the centre somewhere then earthed.
If you connect one of them the wrong way round the switch on the seat will work in reverse so just swap the terminals on that seat.
Thats it.....oh! & just make sure the 12v supply is fused.
Nice upgrade........a bit heavy though!
