Red face Hot positive terminal please help.

When I run my car the positive terminal gets hot. The longer I run the hotter it gets. The lead connection is good and clean and when it runs it puts out abou 13.5 volts. Can anyone help me?

There are a limited number of problems that can cause this a) resistance between the terminal and your connector (clean the connection) b) resistance within the connector itself (it is probably corroded within the crimped area) or c) your entire battery is hot from overcharging (unlikely at 13.5 volts)

Replace the entire positive cable. What you can't see may be causing your problem.

Since the same current goes thru the pos and neg terminals, they will be at the same temperature, unless one terminal has a higher resistance than the other.
Suggest, you clean the hot one and see what happens.
