Hardtop for 89 Speedster
Does anyone have an aftermarket hardtop for their Speedster. I'm looking at what options are available. This one from Stuttgart in the UK looks impressive, has anyone bought one yet? There is also a French (?) one advertised which looks exactly the same, does anyone know who the manufacturer really is?Stuttgart UK
What about the ones advertised on Ebay by ExtremeMotorcarsExtreme Strosek style does anyone have one of these?

I'm not a big fan of those hardtops. It takes away from the classic look of the car. It makes the car look a little to mean for me. However, I only drive mine in good weather and the top down anyways.

Porsche actually made, or was supposed to make, hardtops for these cars back in '89. From what I've read they never sold any.
They also made a point of emphasizing that these cars are for fair weather driving only. The soft top was called an "emergency" top and was never really intended to be in the up position. New owners had to sign a waiver signifying their acceptance that the soft top will not keep the weather out.
To me, a speedster hardtop completely defies the whole point of the car, which is to be the ultimate in open air motoring. They built it for precisely that purpose (and because Helmuth Bott was a wind-in-your-face addict).
