I have opened three of the four clips to get the air filter out. I can not access the fourth clip in the bottom back part of the air filter housing. Does anyone have any tips on how to access the last clip that seems to be impossible to reach? Thanks

 

Forgot to mention that this is for a 86 coupe

 

It can be done. I also have an '86 coupe. I have large hands (6' 2" 205lbs) and I have to really struggle to get back there but I can. The easiest way that I found was to reach behind the air box from the left. In other words, you are almost hugging the engine as you push your left arm/hand back around the airbox.

I had a problem getting the two back ones to latch. You have to be a contortionist to get your hands in there and pull the clips to the right with enough force to make them latch properly. I solved my problem by looping a medium size plastic wire tie on each one and hooking my finger in the end of it and pulling to the right. The wire tie allows extra space for my hand to get leverage and works great. You also can't see them as they hand down behind the airbox.
