Default 993 handbrake warning light

Hi

I recently bought a 993 C2 Tip

Should a warning light come on when the handbrake is pulled up ?

I drove around the block and when i parked i realised the handbrake was up!

Also when selecting a gear do u have to press the **** at the top of the lever or is that only for reverse.

Thanks

Mansoor

You might do better posting this in the 993 forum.

Mansoor--not sure on the Tiptronic button, but I would default to say that the only time you need not push the button is when moving from "D" to "N" or sliding over to the tip functionality. As far as the e-brake, yes, when you set the e-brake you should see 2 lights light up--the square parking brake light and the large [!] rectangular light.
