911/930 tires -- what's best?
Hey gang,
Is there a specific tire that is recommended as best for the late 80's 911s and 930s?
Using the stock 7" ad 9" Fuchs, is there a specific tire for the 930 that most agree is the best choice? I'm talking street driving, summer tire, want crisp, precise handling.
My car came with its current Yokohama AVS Sport tires. I haven't been totally happy with its handling. It almost seems to have a slight delay to input at the front, then the rear follows a moment later. I have seen one review describe AVS Sport's handling as "a little squirmy". That's what I feel. So, before I start looking at swaybars and stuff I want the tires to be right.
Do N-spec tires apply to these earlier cars like they did to my 993? Are the stock tire sizes optimal with the stock rims or is there a better combination?
Thanks for helping me understand what works best with these earlier cars!
