I met a crazy guy on my recent flight back to Indy from LAX. He said that he races his Corvette. He says that the drivers have a tow truck on site that they use to pull the cars off the track and onto a local road so that the insurance covers them... Did I say Crazy Guy!!! May have been the booze talking. He was trying to sell me on Corvettes again. I've been there.

redidrum, I saw something like that occur on 2 occasions about 20-25 years ago. The cars were damaged on a race track, then loaded on flat bed trailers with no restraining straps and the cars ultimately went off the trailers and were heavily damaged. I believe the owners collected on their losses.

That might work, but of course if you get caught, it's felony insurance fraud...
