Default Window Motor Removal

Hi all.

The passenger window on my '88 Targa has stopped working. I'm pretty sure that its the motor (swaped switches and the drivers window works fine). There is absolutely nothing when operating the switch so its not the regulator.

I want to remove the motor to see if that is the culprit. Having looked in both the Bentley manual and 101 Projects, I'm a little confused and wondered if anyone out there had ever removed their window motor.

I've removed all of the panel furniture and door card. The emmbrane had to come off as it was ripped to shreds anyway. I can see the six bolts that need to be undone to enable the regulator to be manhandled into a position that will allow access to the motor. Problem is it wont manhandle if that makes sense. Am I missing something obvious here?

Any help gratefully received.....
