They have done work for me before, even rebuilt the clock on my 1948 MG. Very satisfactory.

I'm thinking of having my 81SC 85MPH speedometer converted to 150MPH - is Palo Alto the best place to do that? or are there other more reputable places in the Bay Area?

Also - what should I expect to pay?

Tom,

I had North Hollywood convert my 85mph speedometer to a 150 mph face and recalibrate it. They also repaired a plastic odometer wheel that was on it's way out. Cost around $90-100, as I recall. The recalibration is spot on the money. 40 is 40, 70 is 70, etc. no second guessing high or low. Turnaround was reasonable too. I would recommend them.

I asked Bruce Anderson about this when I needed my tach done and he recommended Palo Alto. That's a pretty good endorsment.

Well, I sent them to No Ho Speedo on Tuesday and they were done today, so I am going to swing by there and pick them up tomorrow.

The people there (Dirk & Tom) seem really nice and eager to get your business.

I am going to finish the tech article as soon as I get them installed and you can see how they did. So far I'm impressed !
