Should this Carrera be lowered?
Should this Carrera be lowered? Please help me decide 
Also, what do you think of adding the Carrera graphics to it?

a general guideline is that the chassis should sit at a 1 degree angle (nose down, of course). it is hard to tell by photo (even a good one, like yours), but it appears your nose might be lowered a bit. the adjustment is relatively easy to do, but it is a specific procedure - follow the Bentley manual, 101 Projects, or Bruce Anderson's book (or search this site, probably a lot here, too). a spec to achieve this is to set the rear at 25" high (to the edge of the fender lip, measured through the wheel centerline) & the frt at 25.5". this approximates Euro ride height.

The 911 is mine and it's not for sale. In fact, it's in storage right next to my OTHER car, a restored correct 1966 427 Corvette Coupe.
I bought both cars in the same month over 11 years ago.

Your Carrera sits at the stock USA ride height for that year.
Its a very subjective judgement whether one decides to lower that car or not, but I would tell you that IMHO, it will handle much better and look nicer with a 1" drop all around. One should wind up with a 1 degree nose-down rake in the car for stability at speed after cornerbalancing and before the car gets realigned.

But if I may also add, in addition to lowering, find yourself some 8 or 9 inch Fuchs for the rear, and put your 7s up front. It improves the cornering, as well as looks much, much better, filling out the wheel arches nicely.

Great looking cars.
I agree with the other advice so far. I prefer the European ride height and the wider the fuchs the better. If this is a concourse car or you want it stay OEM, disregard the advice and get out the Q-Tips.

Raj--the lowered photoshop looks good...As for the Carrera graphics, it is purely a matter of opinion, but I think the newer impact bumper body styles look horrid with the Carrera stripes on the side. The older cars with the older bodies look proper because that was when Porsche put those graphics into effect...

What about no lettering, but adding the stone guards in front of the rear wheels!
I know they are meant for the 930 but why not the standard flairs?
I'm thinking of ordering them. It's only a $40 hit.
