Wheel Question
I'm looking at a set of Sport Classics on ebay for my 87 Carrera. Front: 7x17, 55 offset. Rear: 8.5x17, 55 offset. Will these work or will I need huge spacers?

You will need some fairly large spacers
a front 7.5" 911 wheel wants ~19mm net ET, so a +55 wants ~36mm +/- spacer
a rear 8.5 wheel wants ~13mm net ET, so a +55 here will want ~42mm +/- spacer
there is some leeway depending on your appearance, tire, alignment and wheel well edge details.
