Default de-coding codes

Couldn't find this through search,...although I know it is there 'cause I read it.

Someone posted a website where one can list their vin # and in turn find their option and color codes. Does this sound familiar? I am just trying to confirm what I think I have.

THANKs,
Rich

Doesn't exist, AFAIK. You can call Porsche customer service at 800-PORSCHE, give them the VIN, and they'll give you the option codes. They can't tell you what the codes mean, however, there is an option decoder on Rennlist, and also documented in a number of books. The VIN itself provides basic information about the year and model, however, nothing about individual options.
