Post Early 911 Speakers

My car currently has the 2 Optima speakers mounted to the back dash and powered by a Kenwood cassette deck. Where are some other locations to mount stereo speakers? I would like to get rid of the Optima and only put 2 or 4 speakers back in but I don't want to cut any hole in the doors. Is it possible to mount lower profile speakers in the rear deck lid?

I used to see an under dash enclosure advertised, but haven't seen an ad in years. Also, there was the old "clover enclosure" that sat on the rear deck. Me? I'm still running the original AM/FM, with one speaker in the dash. It's not turned on very often...
