Default Yet another pricing question on a 1989 911 cab silver anniversary edition

Hey folks,

Mark from the 993 board here. I have a friend who is looking at a 1989 Silver Anniversary Edition 911 cabriolet with the silver wheels and 139,000 miles. Supposedly, it's in really good shape and has never been hit. Any ideas on the price? The guy, second owner, wants $15,000 for it. Other than that, I know nothing about the car and haven't seen it.

Any pricing advice would be greatly appreciated.

$15K is a good price - assuming it is what the PO says it is. A PPI would tell the tale. Good examples with lower miles <80K seem to sell for $18K - 22K.

$15K seems like a very good price. I would have a car gone over very carefully. It almosts seems like too good of a price.

Guys,

Sorry for the delayed response. I thought I had replied to this thread but was, obviously, wrong.

Thanks so much for the replies! I appreciate the words and will relay them back to my buddy.

I have a 89 Silver Anniversary coupe. A cab is a rare car !
The milage suggests that there may be a valve guide issue, as was the
case with my 89. Upper rebuild may be required. At that price
you could do the uppers and still have a very good car for the money,
especially with it being a cab. PPI is a must !!!
otherwise the 89 Silver Anniversary is a great car, I love mine !
Good Luck
Chuck
