steering wheel movement
Sorry but I think this has been posted on here before, but couldn't find it so;
My wheel moves up and down slightly
(top to bottom) when its gripped tightly.
I understand that the 'top-hat' type nylon replacement bush,
may cure this if used to displace the original, which may have failed over the years,
only nobody here in the UK that i've spoken to so far, has used them,
instead suggesting a small spring behind wheel as possibly at fault,
any thoughts you lot?

Solution
Had that problem in my 89 3.2. It is the "top hat" piece - but replace it with the metal one for permanency. Pelican Parts has a great how-to w/ pictures, and the part you will need.

Right then shoppers.
There seem to be a few suppliers in the states,
but does anyone know of availability in the UK.
Since the shipping appears to cost roughly 3-4 time value of part alone.

Got the bit in the post, yesterday, and nothing to look at certainly.
Popped of the horn push, un clip wire,
27mm socket on steering wheel nut, and aside from the little circlip behind, that was all needed really.
I coulden't push the bush into place with just a finger, but a little help with the edge of a socket, was all that was needed.
Just re-install it all, and feels as new (I imagine anyway)
