1989 Carrera Paint
I have an 89 Carrera Cabriolet that is an original blue color with a light grey (linen?) interior. I want to know the name of the color of the paint and interior. Any ideas on where to look for this info?

Rolarey, welcome aboard!
The color & interior code for your Cab is located in the trunk. There is a sticker that lists all the option codes for your specific car - it is on the underside of the lid itself, just in back of the latch. There is also a sticker on the right side trunk interior, near the front under the cloth trunk liner, that repeats the ext. color code & the color name. The '89 had a standard dark blue paint, #347 & spl order metallics, baltic blue, #37B & diamond blue metallic, # 697. I have the Porsche 911 Red Book (Patrick Paternie) that contains this & much more 911 data.
You can also buy a Certificate of Authenticity directly from PCNA that describes "as built" data on particular car.
cheers!

My Porsche 1989 Colors and InteriorTrim brochure (when they used to provide color chips) lists K5 Dark Blue as a Standard color. It's almost black and non-metallic. In Special Colors, they show C7 Baltic Blue Metallic and F5 Diamond Blue Metallic. Baltic is definitely blue. Diamond is a very silvery gray blue.
The light grey leather was available in a Leather/Leatherette combination as standard, called Linen Grey, which came with Linen Grey carpet.
Special Leather/Carpet Interiors were also offered at extra cost. Silk Grey looks very much like standard Linen Grey and comes with matching carpet. Porsche also offered a Slate Grey leather interior but it's a medium to dark color. I'm not sure if these are for seats -- like in full leather -- or are for other interior bits in leather, like door panels or dash.
