Unhappy Petrol Flap flapping!

My '82 SC has just parted company with the fuel filler flap locating clip. The clip is bolted to a metal semi circle that has rusted away.Is repair feasible or am I looking at a whole new wing? The wing seems in pretty good shape apart from the filler!
Cheers

Steve

When I got my '84 last year the filler flap spring was broken. I tracked down a new flap on Ebay for $25 had it sprayed for $50 and three allen screws later was good to go. The alignment can be a little tricky but I used a couple of the extra washers I had from having two filler flaps and that solved the problem. Access to removal and re-installation of the flap is from the wheel well. Simple task.

Default Ah - its not the spring!

Its the catch that holds the flap down in my case ,, but thanks anyway.
