Question 911/912 difference(s)?

Are the differences between these cars that great?
besides the numbers, what gives?

The 911 has a lot more ponies...(a larger displacement over head cam flat 6 -vs- OHV flat 4).

However, the 912 is lighter in the rear, and when set-up properly can be an awesome Auto-X performer...

The rust free Porsche is the best!!!!

912's have 4 cylinder motors vs 911's having 6 cylinder motors. 912's were created to fill the market for people who could not afford a 911. They were produced until the 914 was introduced and one year after it was discontinued.
