I have always liked Porsche but never could afford one because I was a kid back then but now that I've aged a little and am starting to make decent money, my dream might actually become a reality someday. So guys and gals if you don't mind, let me see some fine examples of the best car ever made. Thanks!
Couple of shots from yesterday's driving around in beautiful spring sunset. The best weather for driving: clear and sunny, beautiful clouds, cold and fresh air after rain showers, no insects, no leaves, grass, bushes. And she surely likes to go after engine rebuild!
Come on man, that was some major thunder stealing!! That’s like telling your kids all their xmas gifts right before they open them. JK. Yes, guilty as charged: I was the drunk bidder on BAT that paid all-time-highs for this beauty. While I’ve owned a lot of 911’s, this 65 is a lot of firsts for me: 1st swb, 1st restored car, 1st auctioned car, 1 of only a couple I have ever just closed my eyes and paid whatever it took (the other such car being a froggy colored 997rs years ago). And, truth be told, I blame it all on my friend. 1) he dragged me into this afflicted hobby years ago and 2) I actually gave him my BAT login info to bid up to a limit (a few dollars from where it settled). I had no idea if I won it until it was over Otherwise, I think there’s a good chance I’d have chickened out!
I am more excited for this car than just about any I have ever taken delivery. I’m not exactly sure why. I’ll send some non-auction photos when I get my hands on it. I’ve already made one change to it post-auction:
I drooled, um, poured over all the pics. You, sir, have every right to be more excited about this car than any other. Stunning from every vantage point; a full wow factor! Enjoy in great health!
