Interesting, what's the Carrera like driving in the snow der Mond?
It seems like an odd combination, atleast it's not that usual. But if there are not that much salt on the roads the problem with rust might not be alll that bad...

I drove it two winters with Blizzaks and had no problems. I just finessed the gas pedal and brakes, always mindful. No salt here, but I decided finally to not drive it in winter anymore. The throttle would get sticky below 25 degrees F., the cruise control cable I think. And I decided after reading some interesting posts by shop mechanics with a lot of experience measuring valve guide wear on cars that used various viscosity oils, that I was only going to use 15W-50 (Mobil1) and no more 5W-40. Basically, it's driveable in winter but I really couldn't enjoy driving it in winter any more. It's a better three-season car, in my opinion.
