Love it. My home made wheel alignment string rig is almost identical to the one they use at bbi. How cool is that?!!
That's awesome. I need to take the time to learn to do this. Joey is very meticulous and I love the way he sets up my gt3. He has an 85 so knows his way around a g series. He commented my 89 was one of the easiest cars he ever aligned. Couldn't believe how straight and perfect it was. Oh and turbo tie rods make a massive difference in steering feel and turn in responsiveness. Car feels so good now. Not sure why so many on pelican say that it feels no different! It's like a different car
Anyone that can't feel it isn't really using the car correctly....and likely has a soft, stock, worn out suspension anyway. Lot's of guys say they have tuned up their suspension, and they haven't.
Well I'm about done with my initial list of "todo" on the 89 I picked up a couple months ago. Today I brought the car to dr detail to get the under carriage cleaned. They did a really nice job. 27 years of dust and dirt is now off the car and I can see the fenders and engine case! Still some cosmoline and underbody stuff looks like. This will give me a nice starting point for deeper scrubbing. They also did the top side by hand.
Amber lamps saw some of the "before" :-)
Ca car so the plated stuff is nice still but man was it dusty.
