First time posting here
Bought this project last year after 10 years of looking and thinking about air cooled early 911's. Drove it daily for five months until Irish roads got the better of some rust on the rear chassis pickup points. Plan now is to cut out the rot and replace with a 993 multilink set up (after I complete one of my other two projects first so it could be a while yet )

Niall

Great car - good luck with the resto. But I'm curious, what's on the roof?

Oh & welcome to Rennlist.

Cool...a 69 ragtop -- or is that a 68? Almost looks like a short wheelbase car from one angle. Sure is low though...I like the yellow early lenses too, if you want to sell those assemblys to replace with H1 or H4s, let me know.

Great look and welcome to the "list"

Cheers

Thanks Ian. It's a Webasco Sunroof. Judging by the condition and the phone number on the installers sticker it's period correct. I have a folder of receipts going back to the early eighties, including those for the RS conversion in the mid 90's. Unfortunately they sprayed all the chrome as it wasn't cool then. A nice touch when I got the registration documents was that it's last change of owner was on my 14th birthday in 1986!

@ mjmoran. It's a 1968 2.0T and it's low because of the combination of a large pothole and rust overcoming the suspension hence the opportunity to cut it out and replace with the 993 setup I want to replace the rear lenses with a pair of the 'R' items and just replace the front one with new ones with a chrome edge as they are in rag order. The picture is deceiving.
