Default O2 Sensor connetor problem

Hello,

I have a 1983 911SC and am having trouble with surging. I have traced it to the the O2 sensor. Specifically the connection at the top near the fuel filter. When it comes loose my car surges while driving. I have tried to pull it apart but it does not come off. I dont want to start messing with it too much and break it so I'd ask you guys. How does this connection come apart? And how do I keep it from coming loose? It is most likely stupidly easy, but hey might as well ask...

Thanks,

Jason

The German electrical connector is an enigma indeed, this one is less complicated though, you just pull it apart, easy, if its that hard to get apart, its probably NOT having a loose connection issue, If it is, put a zip-tie around it.

If you disconnect it, the car will use a substitute value, andif it will run better, that means replace it, do not leave it unhooked, reset your mixture, idle and timing.
