Raising A lowered 74
My pcar was lowered. Recently I had an alignment done. I didn't discuss the height and the mechanic aasumed I wanted to keep it the same. I assumed he would put it back to spec. The car was coverted to a turbolook. Consequently since he does not have his own alighnment shop so it will cost me to re-do the alignment which is not in this years pcar budget. I know it wont be perfect but being lowered as much as it is I understand it wont be. I need to raise the right front about a 1/2 inch as the tire rubs a bit when making a tight turn. The car has a stress bar. How do I raise it just a bit to get me through Sept and Oct. the car is driven on weekends and goes back into storage in Nov.? Next spring I plan to put it back to spec.

Put your car on the most level hard surface you can find, measure from the floor vertically through the center of the wheel to the underside of the fender lip. How many inches? Also, what wheels are you using, how wide are they, and what tire size? Front height adjustment is usually not changed during an alignment, unless the technician notices an obvious problem. To change the height of an entire car can take an experienced technician 3-6 hours, at $75/hr you will certainly know about that before they do it! All that you may need is to roll the inner fender lip on your right front.
