I have a Passport 8500, has saved my bacon many a time. If I were to buy a new one now, I'd probably try a V-1 this go-'round.

I have an Escort Solo II cordless, which is really convenient and I don't like wires running around my dash.

Valentine 1 is #1 in my book. I've tried the Uniden and Passport...they are not as effective as the V1.

I believe V1 has won every head to head comparison by car mags for the past several years. even the new POP feature works well, and if you're quick enough when shot with laser and paying attention you will see them as soon as they see you and nose dive. It has worked for me twice now

V-1's are excellent even though you have to "learn to understand" what it is telling you. I have had advance warning on a laser trap (1 cop withthe laser, several writing on the side of the road) that I thought was impossible. Going back to the original escort, Mike Valentine has saved me thousands of dollars.
