Wow, these have got to be the UGLIEST speaker option I have ever seen in a Porsche. Are these factory?
Does anyone know anything about them?
Absolutely HORRIBLE. They would actually stop me from buying a car.

This option, limited to 964s, was to reprise within the interior the "stylish yet functional" bumper theme.

they sure look like crap, but I bet they were not from a low end shop, and probably sound pretty good as a mid/high driver.

those were used in the War of the Worlds remake - befor ethe bacteria killed the Martian they started putting those speakers on all the _cars they could find...

actually - looks like you could just replace the top door trim pieces and have a nice normal car...

Those aren't speakers... they're tumors.

Those might be from that custom company that makes the speaker enclosures...Q something...they sell some of them through Crutchfield now, but they used to be higher end. Why you would need this, I don't know...you have plenty of room in the lower door for a 6 1/2 driver and a great quality tweeter closer to ear level. I can't imagine those speakers even sounding good so high up.

I agree with Randy, remove the top trim pieces and replace. They are "FUGLY".
