pgunwald" I have an 87 Carrera and just two months ago changed the clutch. There is a kit to replace that fork, pin and bearing w/o having to drill the case. You will know when it's time because it will be like trying to push a non-power brake pedal.......... hard. My starter ring was giving me trouble and finally went coput... while I was in there I did what I could. I had a local shop rebuild the clutch plate. They had done my 924 yrs ago. They do a very good job. The clutch pin kit was only like 150.00 if I remember correctly. The differents was unbelieveable. And now for the kicker, I put the Lucas gear lube in my tranny. I plan on changing it again in spring. Check your local supply shop for the kit.

p.s. pgrunwald..... sorry.
