Ok, I thought this was cool!
I stopped by TAP Plastics on the way home from work to pick up a small amount of fiberglass cloth to fix 2 holes in my tail, as it used to be on a race car, and had those little pins.
Anyway, they had carbon fiber cloth, kevlar cloth, and a carbon-kevlar mix cloth! This stuff is super cool - I gotta find a project where I can make something with it! It's expensive as all get-out, but it looks so neat! The C/K mix was $45/p.l.y, the kevlar was about $40, and the CF was about $34.

They have it too. It is very cool but a royal bitch to work with.
My experience is from rebuilding sailboats.
