I've seen periodic talk about this, but not sure of the final conclusions regarding changing size. The standard size on my 16-inchers is 205/55 and 225/50. Can I go up in size at all, and if so, to what? Or should I want to increase?

 

Stay with the original sizes. If you go to 8" rear wheels then you can upgrade to 245s.
