Bob, The OEM vs Mocal cooler discussion came up on the Pelican 911 board a while back. I can't find it now, but IIRC the result was the Mocal setup ended up not being all that much cheaper once you got all the necessary fittings to attach them to the hard lines.

The base Pelican Kit for $650 has everything you need but the fan and wiring. It bolts right up to the stock brackets/fittings. You can always add the fan later if you decide you need it.

Speaking as someone who has the factory fan, buy a Spal. Just as good, less cash.

My new to me 1983-911SC that I purchased about 3 weeks ago the previous owner had installed a Mocal cooler with a SPAL fan that has a manual switch to operate that seems to work great. The temps in Florida the past few weeks has still been in the high 80s to low 90s with average humidity and sitting in traffic with the AC running and the fan on the engine temp stayed around 210 or less,I think that is pretty good.I have seen a small cooler that installs in the S hose from the oil tank to the engine, anyone installed one of these?Any comments regarding that cooler? It seems to me a good place to mount a additional cooler.
