How can I access the back of the passenger door light switch wiring ? Looks to be a blocked in area.
Where can I find replacement a/c, heater, hose to the passenger upper R/H corner vent? The foil hose fell apart in my hand after I found damaged. Will hardware store hose work ? I read that it would leave an awful smell in the car with the heat on.
Yes, it is much more complicated than that. My buddy with a ton of Porsche 911 experience says that he has always had to fish through the whole for the wiring. The wire did not come out with the switch. Very tight closed in area. My car is almost perfect except a few very small details now.
Would one of those $.99 'grabbers' fit inside the hole?
You'd likely wear out your fingers and thumb before you caught the wiring, but it's worth a shot.
If not, I think it's time to make a stop at your local dry cleaners for a "wire retrieval device".
One thing to remember is that the connector on the end of that wire is +12VDC. Be sure to pull the fuse (should be a white, 8 amp, 4th or 5th from the dash side of the panel) before you dig around in there with anything that might short it out.

I replaced both doorlight switches in my car not too long ago. The wire had broken off one of the switches and so I had to fish it out with a wire hanger. It really didn't take that long. Make a little hook with the hanger and then go in and up a bit. I soldered the wire to the new switch and then coated it with a rubber coating - just to make it look nice and neat.
