Default Decoding VIN

I need help decoding my VIN. I know that my car is a 1973 911T with the 2.4L MFI motor, but recent discussions with a 40 year Porsche mechanic have me wondering if my MFI motor is original or did it have carbs or CIS. Anyway, the VIN is 911311002
Thanks.

Scott: You missed a digit. Assuming that your VIN ends with "002" that indicates that it was the second car of its kind built for the '73 year, which means that it was originally an MFI car. The VIN also indicates that the car is a '73 T Targa.

Peter,
I did miss a digit. I left out a zero. The correct VIN is 9113110002. My typing ability borders on non-existant. As does my inability to eliminate a very small invisible oil leak that always finds its way onto the drivers side heat exchanger near the very front of the heat exchanger(forward in relation to the car) by where the vent heater "valves" are.
