Pueblo Motorsports Park: "Correction Factor"?
May be a dumb question but what is "Correction Factor"
I'm going to Pueblo Motorsports Park this weekend in Pueblo CO. Printed off the map from the website for the track and they have "Track Altitude" (self explanatory, 4900 feet for those who are curious) and "Correction Factor .9393".
Can anyone tell me what correction factor refers to?
Thanks,
H. Miller

I think they are trying to make some statement about the amount of power a normally aspirated motor will lose at that altitude compared to sea level - or maybe it's the air density decrease so one can change the mixture on their carbs...
For us Denver folks, it won't make alot of difference. BTW, we're losing around 20% of our power in Denver (and alot more in the mountains) compared to sea level, unless you have a turbo (almost no loss)...
