Default Trunk will not shut

The trunk (engine compartment lid) will not stay latched. I took it to the body shop. They tightened up the mechanism on the lid and it shut. Today I went to check my oil and now it will not stay closed! It sort of just pops open! Any suggestions?

You have to make sure the cable is adjusted where the latch assembly is centered. You can tell by moving it either way. When centered, it should not move the assembly and allow the male portion of the latch to seat properly. When adjusted properly, tighten the set screw on the cable end.
