Question Slider Settings with A/C On ???

Where are you guys setting the 3 upper sliders at when running the A/C for optimal cooling? The manual says that max. cooling on the lower **** should be to the right. Any suggestions? Just had freon serviced.

Thanks,

Ron

Middle one to the right of center works for me. The top is fresh air only from outside, and the bottom is heat only.

If I recall, the fresh air levers ahve nothing to do with the A/C and should always be to the far left in the off position. One should be for letting in fresh air, one for the motor speed , and the third for heat (red one). My 88 Carrera has only two large ones (a red and a black flat ****) and two smaller ones above them. One opens the fresh air vent and the other operates the fan motor. You don't want any fresh air coming into the car while trying to cool the air already in there. You'll wor the compressor to death.

Hugh,
How about a few close-ups of those 'toys'?
What kind of bike is that anyway?

Thanks everyone. I'll tinker with it more as I drive. I guess that the 911 a/c will never match the icebox of my old 928 a/c. I should take it in and have it serviced since I just added freon alone.
