info on 911 Carrera Club Sport (CS)
There has been some recent interst in the the CS because of its power and lighter wt (for the time it was made).
Motor Trend, August 1988 has a road test of the 911 Carrera Club Sport.
From what I have seen, there is a lot more to these cars than first mets the eye.

I saw a beautiful one this past wekend at the NY Metro PCA Concours at Westbury. Who ever owns the car is a lucky fellow, and hopfully he doesn't mind me posting these photos.
This is first CS I've ever seen and took some photos of the striking interior which was so cool looking. At first, it was tough to notice the black "PORSCHE" lettering in the fabric, but the photo shows it clearly.
A very nice car and obiviously pretty rare. enjoy!

Yes, Don's CS is beautiful.
There were a total of 340 CS's built worldwide. Of that 340, 28 were imported for the U.S. market in a variety of colors. 53 of the 340 were UK models which were all painted GP White with red Carrera script on the doors (no fender swoosh) and red Fuchs wheels. By sheer numbers produced, Club Sports are definitely one of the rarest Porsche models.
With all of the electrical gizmos/AC eliminated and other measures taken to reduce weight such as no sunroof, no undercoating, no back seats, little to no soundproofing, etc., the Euro (RoW) models carried a curb weight of only 2,550 lbs, a significant reduction over the regular high option coupes. The engines are all marked 'SP' and are believed to have been individually blueprinted by the Werks division in addition to having a modified DME chip and hollow intake valves for a max. engine rpm increased to 6,840. Most European magazines estimate their horsepower to be in the 240 - 245 range (RoW models - No cat). Beyond all of the statistics, the real treat is actually driving them.

I used to own a Guards Red CS and was very happy with it - a very nicely balanced car which can be driven very fast with the right driver (have heard that at the time it was new, lap times around the 'Ring differed only a few seconds between the 911 CS and the 911 turbo).

Anyone know how much these cars usually sell for? Seems there was around half as many made as the RS America, but I've never seen one for sale. I can point to 10 - 15 RSA's for sale at any given time.

What's the different between 911 Carrera CS that came with "CS Club Sport" fender swoosh and the one that came with Carrera CS script on the doors ? Could any one help to identify the different between the two please.
