Default How'd I do?

Well, just pulled the trigger and scratched a 30 year old itch. Bought a '77 911s Coupe with 189k on the clock (here come the groans). But wait, there's more! It has: A 3.2 with crankfire ignition (afermarket ignitiion, hot, with two plugs per cylander, crankcase windage, no leaks, has 66K on rebuild, runs real strong, according to my PPI guru, compression in mid-140's all the way around; 51K on tranny and CV's; short shift with Momo shifter; 2K on clutch; 16" Fuchs, rolled fenders, front mounted oil cooler, Rotary AC (converted to 134), Cambermeister strut brace, Weltmeister sway bars, turbo tie rod ends, adjustable rears springs, performance bushings, alarm system; recent front rotors and pads, alternator. It's got "20 footer" black paint and a funky burnt orange and black interior that is in amazing shape and very retro. Needs: $700 in steering/boots/bushing work in front; $200 of other "get to it when you can" minor stuff (front blower, recharging AC, etc). I paid $10.3K pus cost of PPI.

Did I get skinned?

Are you happy with the car? You can spend $10.3K on a 911 engine rebuild ... hope that puts it in perspective. Have fun

Doesnt sound like it. If everything is in the shape that you said, it soulds like you got a pretty good buy. The real question is: are YOU happy with the car? If they answer is yes, then that makes it a good buy. Welcome to Rennlist!
