I ordered a rebuild kit for the front caliper on my 77 911 Carrera 3.0 (ROW). I ordered the rebuild kit for a aluminum caliper. For some reason, that is what I thought they were. Unfortunately assuming that the front calipers are the same as the back I determined the back to be steel by using a magnet, but after reading my trusty "Original Porsche 911" book today on my way to work I realized they might be the S-type aluminum calipers in the front. The book was not clear enough for a definite answer. Anyways, assuming the calipers are stock, would they be aluminum or steel. Just wondering because I lugged 8 pairs of brake shoes into work today using public transportation, that I will be mailing back to the vendor and I would like to include the caliper rebuild kit if there is less likely a chance that the car has aluminum calipers in the front.

76-77 C3 used 'A' calipers in the front and 'M' calipers in the rear. Both are iron.
