Carrera emblem location
I recently had the engine lid painted and the bodyshop didn't put the "Carrera" back on. How high up in inches is it from the bottom of the lid and how far from the side?
Thanks!

This is a real problem, I can see why the body shop didn't want to risk getting it wrong. When the emblem is correct it can actually look a little "off." Take a run over to Rusnak and look at a few cars on their lot. Obviously it should be centered, and closer to the grille than the lower lip. Brace's Auto Body (310) 823-2474 in Marina Del Rey probably has a template, or basic guidelines to follow...

Is this a car with a tail or not? As I recall that makes a difference in the placement.
I pulled up some measurements I'd written down before a past repaint of a project car, (but with a tail).
From bottom lip of decklid to bottom edge of emblem: 7 5/8".
From right edge of decklid to tip of the "a" on emblem: 12 1/8".
The side measurement should be applicable to all cars, but, as noted above, for cars without the factory Carrera tail I'm pretty certain that the emblem needs to be at least a few inches higher than on cars with tails.
Good luck,
Tim
