After adjusting my clutch, after driving for a couple of weeks my pedal went to floor, the cable is not broken, the springs are ok, the clutch will not disengage, I think the adjustment put to much pressure on something, I can't figure out what broke. Any Ideas ?

The same thing happened to my 71 years ago.On mine it was a plastic piece that the end of the cable is connected to before it goes to the clutch. That piece broke,it wasn't to hard to replace. Its also where you adjust the clutch cable. If you jack up the back of the car and follow the cable to the adjustment(on mine two nuts that lock against each other) you'll see it mine was white plastic.I don't know if this applies to a 78.

Check the clevis pin that connects the clutch cable to the peddle cluster. These tend to wear and break. Also check the roll pin that holds the holds the clutch peddle to the peddle cluster. This may have snapped.
