Default Gauge Face Kits

Anyone ever done this and if so, how difficult was it to do? I would like to change out the stock with the white face dials. Thanks.

You should look for someone that might want to trade.

White faced gauges were popular 10 years ago. Lots of guys that have 911s that the previous owner put white faced gauges in would LOVE to trade back to stock.

It's a lot easier than having to bust open your perfectly good gauges, and you'll be helping a fellow Porsche enthusiast out by allowing him to dump his white gauges.

I wanted to put white faces on my 82SC a few years ago, but never got around to it. Glad I procrastinated. Cannot beat the classic look of black! Don't do it..........

I did it a few years ago when I first got the car, main reason was its easier for me to read the gauges at night. Second was I like the look with the white exterior. Easy job to do, took a Sat. morning.

I just did mine. The biggest problem was the speedo. needle did not just pop off, it broke the shaft which required a rebuild and calibration. the plate inside the fuel gauge/ oil qty. has very fragile tabs that break easily. Send the speedo. to Speedometers plus in L.A. and have them calibrate it and add the face plate before you break it. A good calibration will help. Good Luck, Ron
