The car has traveled 108K. I bought it not running but after I replaced the coil and the distributor it runs OK. I bought it at an auction and there were no service records with the car. I have tried to contact past owners to no avail.
Is it safe to assume that the required upgrades for a 2.7 have been performed? How can I tell if the chain tensioners and the case bolts have been replaced? The car has the 11 blade fan upgrade as well as a pop-off valve.
Don't assume anything has been done unless there is documentation. Based on your comments, there isn't any. I suggest having an experienced Porsche mechanic look at it to determine if any of your questions can be answered. You'll have to pull the chain hosing covers to see the tensioners and don't know if you can tell by looking if the case bolts have been upgraded. Good luck in your quest.
